“Paganella” is a group of mountains from which you’ll enjoy some breathtaking views. The group includes some very popular villages such as: Molveno, Fai della Paganella, Andalo, Valle dei Laghi, Cavedago e Terre d'Adige.

The charme of autumn with its colours, tastes and fragrances… they offer us a perfect season to live… great for the last bike rides before snow will cover the tops.

MTB / E-MTB ITINERARY: LET’S DISCOVER PAGANELLA!

Everything starts when taking the Velolake shuttle, the great service dedicated to bike lovers that connects Torbole to other bike destinations either on Garda Lake or on the Dolomites. The transfer will last about an hour and a half (80 km) to Molveno, perfect moment to start making friends, check the maps and take into consideration that the ride will deserve a full day to discover this magical territory.

The start is the first hint of what you should expect during the Tour! 

This tour is very particular, and it could be done either with a traditional MTB (better if for freeride) or with an electric freeride MTB. We’ve saved some energy because we’ve preferred to use the second type .

The start seems cool: Molveno, window for the central range of the Brenta Dolomites. The first shots to take will allow you to photograph the tops reflected in the intense blue of Molveno Lake, for years awarded as nicest lake of Italy!

Here everything is nature, green woods of firs and beeches make the scenery breathtaking. You are at an altitude of 864 meters from where you will take the cable car and then chairlift ‘till Rifugio La Montanara, with an unforgettable view on the Brenta Dolomites!

Let's start riding! 

From Rifugio La Montanara, a must stop for the first snack before leaving, you can descend a really nice and easy single trail to Andalo, located 1040 above sea level, small mountain village between the Dolomites and the woods of Paganella Mount.

In Andalo we highly recommend a short walk along the town ‘till the Piazza Centrale (Main Square) where you can see a bronze monument representing a lumberjack. The locals are hard workers and this monument is ispired by the motto "Ntant che pòlsest va a tagliar su legna” (while you rest cut some wood!) and it reflects the same way of facing life, the same motto that we, riders, love!

Ready to ascend the Paganella TOP! 

After this short stop in Andalo, we’ll proceed straight to the lifts, taking the cable car and chairlift again to Cima Paganella, 2100 mt of altitude that offer a breathtaking view on Lake Garda!

Should we stop to Rifugio La Roda?

Absolutely yes!
Some pictures are almost necessary before descending to the well-known Rifugio La Roda where we suggest you booking and stopping by for lunch, from the mountain hut the panorama is breathtaking.

We absolutely suggest you: polenta, venison “Carne Salada” in confint and the beef carpaccio with apples, nuts, and herbs yogurt! A must try!

Perfect final:"Toblino Lake and its Castle"

After the stop we’ll continue descending passing from Ranzo and then down to Toblino Lake. The itinerary is an Enduro tour with parts of mountain cycling, along the mountain with a spectacular view on “Valle dell’Adige” and “Valle dei Laghi” with the constant scenery of the Brenta Dolomites.

The trail develops along some forest roads with parts of mountain cycling, to end the descend along the banks of Toblino Lake, romantic destination. Between aroma of lemons, olives and savage rosemary, this water mirror is particularly enchanting to ride in the green.

This part is flat and perfect for everyone, from the north bank of the lake you can reach Toblino castle, a castle which dates back to the XII Century and it’s considered one of the most charming of Trentino. The castle includes a restaurant and a bar with amazing panoramic terrace.

Back to TorboleSi torna a Torbole

From Toblino Lake, take the cycle path from Sarche, pass close to the “Il Ciclamino” Motocross circuit in Pietramurata , well-known to host (among the others), the famous MXGP of Trentino where the best pilots in the world compete for the Motocross FIM world championship.
A pleasant road to enjoy the surrounding, will lead you straight to Arco and then Torbole.

Our tip: there are many different variations, the demanding ones really are, especially if you use a traditional bike, just do what you feel doing. Our suggestion, not to miss the beauty of nature because of the extreme effort, is to ride an e-bike, but especially: don’t forget to bring your camera!
